Estimating
All estimating is carried out from first principles using Pronamic’s Expert Estimation. Alexanderson has standard resource rates and productivities that are modified as necessary for individual projects.
Project Cost Performance Management
Cost performance management is the business system that ensures Project Managers have appropriate cost, resource usage and productivity measures to enable proactive management of the project to meet or better budget cost/productivity targets. It provides appropriate and standardised methods for the management of variations, extensions of time, and progress claims. It ensures the timely management of standardised contractual and project communications. Project costing is recorded at project estimate rates on actual consumption in Pronamic’s Expert Project.
Plant Maintenance
Plant items are subjected to a PROGRAMMED PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE SCHEDULE and are regularly inspected to ensure compliance to safety standards and the requirements of relevant regulatory authorities. Consequently the plant consistently achieves better than average availability levels.
Quality Assurance
It is the Quality Policy and objective of the Company to:
- Meet all the requirements of the Contract and reference documents
- Create an environment that instils and commits quality assurance related work practices and principles into project personnel.
- Encourage positive interaction between our clients and ourselves through discussions or quality related and other relevant issues, with the outcome being satisfactory solutions.
- Non-compliances and Improvements are raised, addressed and lead to genuine improvement in process.
- Maintain all quality records in a clearly defined filing system that is easily accessible and fully retrievable and traceable.
- Provide a safe working environment for employees
- Encourage employees to take responsibility for their work
- Provide appropriate management and training for employees
- Ensure that the company quality policy is understood by all employees
Our quality assurance management plan defines the strategies and processes to be used to manage Quality Assurance and Control during the construction of each specific project and is tailored to suit the project requirements.

- When Plant becomes bogged supervision or work shop personnel must be present during retrieval
- Flashing Light and UHF Radio must be installed in all light vehicles and heavy plant
- Trained spotters on fill areas with plant
Environmental
Alexanderson Environmental Policy and objective is to:
- Implement control systems which facilitate the management of environmental matters on each project
- Comply with all relevant regulatory and legislative requirements
- Minimise the production and release of pollution into the environment
- Communicate and liaise with interested parties
- Continually improve environmental performance, management practices and environmental management system, which conform to recognised standards
- Integrate environmental objectives and targets into business decision making and review periodically the effectiveness and suitability of the environmental management system meeting the environmental objectives and targets
- Ensure all employees are aware of their responsibilities
- Ensure personnel at all levels are aware of each projects environmental policy, objectives and targets
